Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) is an education program for Medical Staff who want to enhance their QI capacity, build connections with colleagues, and create a continuous improvement culture to transform our local health system. Applications to join Cohort 9 must be submitted online by March 15 at 4:00pm.

Upcoming Cerner Electronic Health Record - Planned Downtime
Island Health is currently transitioning our Electronic Health Record (EHR) to a Remote Hosting Option (RHO) provided by Oracle Cerner. The scheduled downtime for the RHO transition is from 10 p.m. on Friday, February 23, to 6 a.m. on Saturday, February 24.

Port Hardy drug-checking news
The Port Hardy Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) office offers a new drug-checking service during business hours. Individuals can visit the office at 7070 Shorncliffe Avenue from Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., to have their substance samples checked and receive results within 20 minutes.
