  • Improving communication and engagement through oversight of the medical staff website and medical staff bulletin, supporting orientation,  town halls and providing navigation supports.
  • Supporting education and development through departmental CPD rounds, CME accreditation advisory support, rural community CME support, leadership development programing and education funding administration.

Main Functions of the Communications, Education & Development team

Communications
  • Manage the creation of content for both the medical staff website and bulletin. Additionally, offer advisory assistance in developing communication and engagement plans for medical staff. Conduct regular medical leader and medical staff town halls.
Orientation for new medical leaders
  • Offering orientation education for all new medical leaders. For more information, click here.
Orientation for new medical staff
  • Piloting new orientation processes and materials for new medical staff members at CDH and WCGH. Medical staff onboarding information can be found here.
Rural physician navigation supports
  • Supporting rural physicians navigate the various incentive programs available. For more information on rural programs, click here.
Rural Continuing Medical Education
  • Supporting rural physician communities establish and advance collective community learning needs through the RCME Community Program. For more information, click here.
Hospital Rounds, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Medical Education
  • Providing support and guidance for departmental hospital rounds and Continuing Medical Education accreditation processes. For more information on CPD, click here.
Medical leadership development programing
  • Providing navigation support to identify various internal and external leadership development opportunities available (click here) and design internal medical leadership development programming (click here).
Sauder Physician Leadership Program
  • Facilitating bi-annual nomination and application process. To learn more about the program, click here.
