Medical staff are invited to join Dr. Ben Williams, Vice President Medicine, Quality and Research & Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Michelle Weizel, Associate Vice President Medicine & Deputy Chief Medical Officer for a virtual Medical Staff Forum on 8 October from 7:30am-8:30am on MS Teams.
Publicly-funded RSV vaccine for older adults
RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) can cause serious illness, particularly in older adults and infants. A free RSV vaccine is now available for adults aged 75 and older, and for First Nations, Métis and Inuit adults aged 60 and older, who have not previously received an RSV vaccine. Only one dose is needed for lifetime protection.
Beyond September 30: Living Truth and Reconciliation Every Day
Each year on September 30, people across Canada observed the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. It was a day to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the communities who continue to carry the impacts of these institutions.
