Urgent Shift Opportunities

Island Health and your colleagues are requesting your support with upcoming emergency department, inpatient care, and general internal medicine shift coverage across Vancouver Island sites.

Urgent/Critical Emergency Shifts

The following shift(s), if left unfilled, will result in site closure or diversion.

WCGH:

December 21, 23, 29 (0800-1500) and 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 (1500-2200)

January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (2200-0800) and 2 (0800-1500)

TGH:

December 18, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 30 (1800-0800) and 19, 29, 30 (0800-1800)

January 1, 2, 4 (1800-0800) and 2, 4 (0800-1800)

LMH:

December 24, 25 (0700-1900)

January 1 (0700-1900) and 4 (1900-0700)

    • $4350 for weekend shifts

    • $1500 - greater than 10 hours
  • Paid mileage from your location to the site at $0.72 km
  • Meal allowance (while traveling)
  • Accommodation
