Urgent Shift Opportunities

Island Health and your colleagues are requesting your support with upcoming ER and Inpatient shift coverage across Vancouver Island sites.

Urgent/Critical Emergency Shifts

The following shifts, if left unfilled, will result in site closure or diversion.

West Coast General Hospital  December 24, 31 (1500-2200); January 1, 4 (2200-0800)

IF available, eligible travel support includes:

  • Travel time honorarium (within BC):
    • $250  - 2.5 hrs or less return trip

    • $1500 - greater than 10 hours
  • Paid mileage from your location to the site at $0.70 km
  • Meal allowance (while traveling)
  • Accommodation
