Urgent Shift Opportunities

Island Health and your colleagues are requesting your support with upcoming emergency department, inpatient care, and general internal medicine shift coverage across Vancouver Island sites.

Urgent/Critical Emergency Shifts

The following shift(s), if left unfilled, will result in site closure or diversion.

West Coast General Hospital: January 10 (1500-2200) and 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 26, 31 (2200-0800)

Lady Minto Hospital: January 17 (0700-1900)

Tofino General Hospital: January 20, 24, 27 (1800-0800)

    • $4300 weekend shifts

Please be advised that the Rural Emergency Enhancement Fund (REEF) and the Medical On-Call Availability Program (MOCAP) are administered by the local physician group.
