As the Medical Leader for your department, it is your responsibility to ensure you distribute to the medical staff in your department and that they complete the required and recommended learnings each year.

The Mental Health Act outlines the authority, criteria and procedures for involuntary admission and psychiatric treatment.
This education will support you in your ongoing efforts to care for all confidential information.
You will learn about our shared responsibility to address Indigenous-specific racism and discrimination, how to recognize and identify it when it occurs, and how to respond safely and appropriately.
Indigenous Cultural Safety Training
Indigenous Cultural Safety and Humility learning is a part of a layered and multifaceted learning opportunity including a variety of reading, courses, in-person sessions, building relationships, personal development, hearing from communities and doing critical self-reflection and being self aware.
Required Course for Medical Leaders
This course explains Island Health’s Respectful Workplace Policy and corresponding procedures through the use of activities, scenarios and diagrams.
