Program & Geography Structures

Island Health is organized into Integrated Health Services (clinical) and Corporate and Strategic Services (non-clinical).

Integrated Health Services

Clinical services are delivered through island-wide portfolios. A portfolio is a grouping of programs.  Each portfolio is led by a team comprised of a medical leader (Executive Medical Director) and an administrative leader (Executive Director). The two leaders have joint responsibility and decision-making capacity for health authority programs within their portfolio and across the region.
