Primary Care Onboarding Checklist

This onboarding checklist is designed to support contracted physicians and nurse practitioners in becoming practice-ready at Island Health owned and operated primary care sites. These activities should be completed before your first day in the clinic. Use this checklist if you are already practicing in BC. If you are new to BC or to primary care practice you need to complete the Pre-Boarding activities as well. The Family Physician and Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Resource Page contains pertinent information on the Primary Care Program and how to gain information on specific sites.

The Site Manager and Medical Leader who you met during the interview process and site tour are your main contacts.
