CPOE at Royal Jubilee: How it’s going one week in
Since fully activating the electronic health record (EHR) at Royal Jubilee Hospital (RJH) June 8, medical staff have been getting used to a new set of tools to assist them with computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and management. The overall feeling so far is that of “increasing confidence”, according to Associate Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Eric Shafonsky.
The Campbell River Primary Care Access Clinic is Open
The new clinic is in the administration building on the North Island Hospital grounds in Campbell River. There is a dedicated health-care team including a physician or nurse practitioner, registered nurses, and a medical office assistant.
