Ophthalmology Lens Process Development
Cataract surgery is a high volume procedure at Island Health, requiring robust communication and collaboration amongst a myriad of interest holders. Victoria-based Ophthalmologist Dr. Hamza Khan recently teamed up with Laurel East, Island Health Surgical Quality Consultant to improve patient safety and access to cataract surgery.

On-site Support for Mental Health Act (MHA) Forms 4.1 & 4.2 Implementation
The Mental Health Act (MHA) Resource Team is on the road supporting physicians, leaders, nursing staff and others at designated facilities to adjust to the new MHA Forms 4.1 & 4.2. The new MHA Forms 4.1 & 4.2 will be activated in Island Health designated facilities through November to January.
