Medical Director, Clinical Teaching Unit

The Medical Director, Clinical Teaching Unit (CTU) provides physician leadership for the inpatient teaching service, ensuring high‑quality patient care, an excellent learning environment, and alignment with hospital and university standards. The role oversees clinical operations, educational programming, and quality initiatives on the CTU, in collaboration with medical, nursing, and interprofessional leaders.

This role works in conjunction with the University of BC’s Internal Medicine Residency Program Director. The co-leadership model values shared accountability, joint decision-making, and the integration of medical and academic perspectives.
