The Island Health Division of Orthopedics is seeking a temporary Orthopedic Surgeon in Victoria, British Columbia.
The position is for 12 months starting January 1, 2025. The successful candidate will hold FRCSC and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. Candidates must be qualified to perform trauma orthopedics.
The position is for 1 year to cover a busy existing arthroplasty practice.
The successful candidate will join the division of orthopedic Surgery and participate in on call coverage with 13 existing members covering 2 sites. Operating time is available for elective arthroplasty and trauma cases. .
The successful candidate will work in a group practice located off-site from the hospital offering physiotherapy, orthotics and other services within a first available surgeon model.
It is anticipated the successful candidate will participate in teaching learners from the various departments of the UBC Medical Programs.
