The Island Health Division of Orthopedics is seeking a temporary Orthopedic Surgeon in Victoria, British Columbia. 

The position is for 6 months starting May until October 31, 2024. The successful candidate will hold FRCSC and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. Candidates must be qualified to perform trauma orthopedics. 

The position is temporary to help the division with a busy trauma volume during the summer months.

The successful candidate will join the division of orthopedic Surgery and participate in on call coverage with 13 existing members covering 2 sites. Operating time is available for trauma cases. There will be an opportunity to assist in elective surgery and trauma surgery cases depending on the candidates interests and the divisional needs.

The successful candidate will have the option of working in a group practice located off-site from the hospital offering physiotherapy, orthotics and other services within a first available surgeon model.

It is anticipated the successful candidate will participate in teaching learners from the various departments of the UBC Medical Programs.
