Virtual Psychiatry Service Brings Timely Care to Rural Communities
Island Health has launched the Virtual On-Demand Urgent Psychiatry service, an innovative program that provides adult emergency patients in five rural and remote community hospitals with evening and weekend access to psychiatric consultation through secure virtual technology, improving timely access to mental health care.
Remembering Dr. Steven Kent
It is with deep sadness that we are writing to inform you of the unexpected passing of our colleague and friend, Steven Kent MD, BSc (Med), FRCPC. Dr. Kent passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on Thursday May 22 at Royal Jubilee Hospital. Our thoughts are with his family in their time of grief.
