EMSS in Medical Affairs supports medical leaders who may be asked to attend to concerns raised regarding professionalism of medical staff. You will be provided details on next steps, the supports in place and best practice to resolve professional issues as they arise and works proactively to enhance the capacity and ability of medical and other leaders across the organization to understand, manage and resolve concerns.

Credentialing and Privileging “Where to get started”
This presentation provides Medical Leaders with details on what the Credentialing and Privileging (C&P) team oversees, including how they manages new privilege applications, reappointment processes, and privilege changes in accordance with Island Health's Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules. With an overview of how the C&P maintains a medical staff database, manages initial system service requests, and communicates updates regarding medical staff privileges. Including details what medical leaders are responsible for in relation to C&P.
