The Cowichan Valley Division of Family Practice Society is seeking general practitioners to work with a team of practitioners and other health providers to collectively deliver care to patients in the Central Duncan Area, working out of the Cowichan Primary Care Network Clinic.  

This is a centrally located clinic in Duncan that aims to provide attachment for any community members in Cowichan who currently do not have a primary care provider.  This position will provide regular primary care, and will provide care both in the clinic and in the community as needed. 

In this service contract position the General Practitioner will participate as a member of an inter-professional team that will include Nurse Practitioners, other GPs, medical office assistants, registered nurses, social workers and behavioral health consultants.

The general practitioner will participate in an after-hours call group, sharing after-hours coverage with other practitioners, to include physicians and nurse practitioners, at the clinic. 
 

Benefits

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement including:

•Retention Premium = 4.2%
•Retention Flat Fee = $4,834.80
•Recruitment Incentive = $10,000 (pro-rated for part-time)
•Relocation = up to a maximum of $15,000
•CME:
        - Years 3 & 4:  $3,000/annum
        - After 4 years:  $6,000/annum
