Confidential Information Management Training

The Confidential Information Management(CIM) Code of Practice Policy (16.6.2P) is Island Health's foundational confidential information Handling policy.  The policy supports Island Health's ethical, professional and legal requirements to value each individual and bring trust to every relationship including in our handling of confidential personal and business information.  The CIM Code of practice does this by setting out ten foundational practice standards to guide Island Health staff, medical staff and agents in appropriate Handling of confidential information.

It is mandatory that all Island Health medical staff review the CIM CODE annually and renew their CIM Code of Practice Terms of Use commitment (CIM Code Commitment).  Medical Staff can do both by accessing the CIM online Module below.  Annual renewal only takes a few minutes to complete.

Access the CIM Online Module to complete your training or renew your CIM Code Commitment.
