The Division of Dermatology of the Vancouver Island Health Authority has an opportunity for a Dermatologist in Duncan, BC. Dermatologic services on Vancouver Island are currently provided in the cities of Courtenay, Nanaimo and Victoria. In the Cowichan Valley the patient population is quite varied (drawing population 75,000) with emphasis on seniors and First Nations. The medical community is close-knit and supportive and includes five General Internists. Local services include excellent general and plastic surgery expertise.
Affiliation with the University of British Columbia’s Island Medical Program provides teaching opportunities to medical students and residents, as well as an affiliation with the UV Psoriasis clinic and the dermatologists in Victoria, a 45 minute drive.
