A Moment of Momentum for Phase III of It’s Time
Every transformational campaign has a moment when belief becomes momentum. For Phase III of It’s Time, that moment began with Craig Mearns.
With a $3-million leadership gift, Craig became the first donor to step forward behind our ambitious $43-million vision for advanced, minimally invasive cardiac, cancer and stroke care. His generosity was soon joined by another local philanthropist with a $3-million gift of her own. Together with other early supporters, their leadership helped create the momentum that have allowed us to take Phase III public today with $8.2 million already secured.
For Craig, leading the way rooted in a deep belief in the people delivering care on Vancouver Island:
“One of the things I have always believed is that our physicians and care teams on Vancouver Island consistently punch above their weight. They are leading innovation and taking on some of the most complex cases in the country. If we want them to continue pushing boundaries and delivering the very best care for our community, we need to give them the environments and technology to do it. It has been incredibly gratifying to see Phases I and II come to life in such a short period of time, and to see the impact of that investment in our lifetime. I am grateful to all donors who join me now in supporting Phase III.”
