2026 Primary Care Quality Symposium
The 2026 Primary Care Quality Symposium brought colleagues together on October 22 at the RJH Administrative Building to explore innovative approaches to improving access to primary care through collaboration and team-based care. The event provided a valuable opportunity to step away from day-to-day operations, share experiences and best practices, and learn from the impactful work happening across Primary Care.
The program featured a keynote presentation, Putting a Good Idea into Practice: Primary Care Edition, along with rapid-fire presentations showcasing practical, site-led quality improvement initiatives. Participants also engaged in a decolonizing leadership reflection, interactive breakout sessions, and a panel discussion focused on strengthening team-based care.
Rapid-fire presentation topics included working toward cultural safety and community-informed maternity care access in rural primary care, RN-led chronic disease management, addressing chronic pain in episodic care, implementing MOA vital signs, and lessons learned through quality improvement efforts.
Thank you to everyone who presented, facilitated, participated in, and supported the symposium. The event highlighted the value of bringing colleagues together to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster connections across Primary Care.
