After a ten-day mediation period with mediators Vince Ready and Amanda Rogers, the Nurses Bargaining Association (NBA), the Health Employers Association of British Columbia (HEABC), and the Minister of Labour have accepted the Special Mediators’ report and the recommendations. Full details will be forthcoming.
The NBA shared with its members its acceptance of the report and recommendations and advised members that it will end all job action effective at midnight July 24, 2026. Until that time, existing job actions and Island Health’s response structures and protocols will continue.
