Island Health is seeking a highly qualified Urologic Oncologist to join our collegial and expanding team serving the population of Vancouver Island. This position is based in Victoria, British Columbia, with clinical responsibilities across Royal Jubilee Hospital and Victoria General Hospital.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will join a group of approximately seven urologists, participating in both general urology and urologic oncology services. The role includes providing second opinions and functioning as a tertiary-care referral resource for urologic oncology for all of Vancouver Island within Island Health.

Clinical Expectations

•    Provide comprehensive urologic oncology care, including advanced surgical management.
•    Participate in general urology call and clinical responsibilities as part of the South Island Urology Network.
•    Support Island Health’s tertiary referral pathway by offering expert consultation for complex oncologic cases across the region.
•    Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, and Pathology.

  • Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • FRCSC
  • Fellowship training: Minimum two years of subspecialty training in urologic oncology.
  • Surgical expertise:
    • Fully trained in robotic-assisted surgery.
    • Competent in open surgical approaches.
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care, multidisciplinary collaboration, scholarly activity, and teaching.
