Island Health’s Department of Midwifery is seeking a full-time Registered Midwife to join a team of seven other Registered Midwives who are well-integrated members of a multi-disciplinary perinatal care team at the Comox Valley Hospital. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills. They are committed to supporting clients within CVH and in community birth, and ideally planning to work in a team call model with other local midwives, carrying a caseload of up to approximately 30 courses of care per year. 

Midwives in B.C. are required to practice in both the home and hospital settings. They are independent practitioners with their own practices in the community and have admitting privileges at Comox Valley Hospital.
