Victoria Orthopaedics is seeking to fill a temporary position for the summer of 2025. Start and end dates are negotiable. Coverage will be for our group of 13 surgeons, covering on-call and trauma slates across both main hospitals in beautiful Victoria, BC.

Victoria is the trauma referral centre for Vancouver Island. We run one of the busiest trauma services in the province, both by volume and complexity. We manage all aspect of Orthopaedic trauma (spine excluded.) Our surgeons are divided into 2 call groups covering the 2 main hospitals: Victoria General Hospital and the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Coverage opportunities would be available at both sites. We also have reserved trauma open slates at both sites allowing daytime trauma surgery 6 days per week at each hospital.

The successful candidate will be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed fellowship level training in Orthopaedic Trauma, but that is not a requirement.
