What you need to know:
Under the 2022-25 Physician Master Agreement, effective April 1, 2023, all new or renewed service contracts include mandatory daily hours reporting, and after-hours premiums (AHPs) became payable to physicians on Alternative Payment Subsidiary Agreement (APSA/APP) service contracts or salary agreements.
What you need to do:

Physicians or their administrative support should utilize the simplified invoice template that has been developed and designed to capture the minimum information required to enable approval and payment.

Other Island Health versions of the invoice template for PC and MAC remain available to use. Please do not use any other non-Island Health templates as this will delay the processing of payments. Going forward, other invoice template versions will not be accepted for claiming after hours premiums.

To assist with timely payments, please submit an invoice to the Certification Authority who are responsible for invoice accuracies and approvals.

Invoices will be forwarded to the Physician Compensation team for payment. Failure to complete this step will cause payment delays.
