On behalf of: The team at WCGH
Recent racist vandalism on the Orange Bridge in Port Alberni has deeply affected the Tseshaht First Nations and the broader community. In response, the West Coast General Hospital team took time to reflect on their journey toward reconciliation and consider how they can meaningfully support healing efforts.
"There have been a lot of heavy hearts in the community, and seeing that this hate is still going on shows us we still have a long way to go," said Kelly Walsh, WCGH Site Director. "We want to work towards ensuring this is not tolerated and accepted within the Port Alberni community.
