On behalf of the Quality, Safety, Improvement and Experience portfolio, thank you to everyone at Island Health for your contribution to this week's accreditation activities with the Accreditation Canada Survey team As Kathy MacNeil has noted, we have so much to be proud of!
Our survey team asked us to pass on their appreciation for:
- Your warm welcome and readiness to speak with them. They were impressed with our collective efforts to ensure that patients, clients, residents, and families receive
excellent health and care with safety, quality and great experiences, every time. - Your passion for sharing your successes. They were interested in hearing how you continually build on these successes to sustain and spread your improvements.
- Our collective willingness to discuss our improvement work, including barriers we experience, and how we use innovation, problem-solving, team work and collaboration with our patient partners to find solutions to these challenges.
WHAT'S NEXT?
- November 29 – December 16, 2022: Review of the Draft Survey Report: The Accreditation Team will lead this process. We will meet with Island Health teams to explain how to review the report. This will start the week of December 5th 2022. Please look for updates in your inbox.
- January 23, 2022: Accreditation Canada delivers our Final Survey Report. The Accreditation Team will distribute the report alongside a “Next Steps Plan." Please watch for updates in TheWeekly.
