Survey - Handling Patient Information in Primary Care

Posted on: May 8, 2023

In partnership with the Primary Care Strategy team, the Information Stewardship, Access & Privacy (ISAP) team is working to improve our understanding of how patient information is handled in primary care with the aim of supporting future improvement activities. The first phase of this work is a survey that will focus on Island Health's Urgent and Primary Carehelpline_staff.jpg Centres (UPCCs).

STAFF AND MEDICAL STAFF ASSOCIATED WITH UPCCs

Have your voices heard! You are in the best position to see the right opportunities for improvement in patient information handling practices in your own areas. Stay tuned for an invitation to respond to a survey about your roles, how you handle patient information in your daily practice, and what does or doesn't work well.

The survey is open now and will be open through to Friday, June 9, 2023 and will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

The information you provide will remain confidential and be securely handled. We will not collect your names or other direct identifiers. Additional steps will be taken to ensure the findings and reports provided to leadership are based on aggregate results and not associated with any identifiers.

We thank you in advance for making the time to complete this important survey and providing your input on opportunities for improvement in patient information handling practices. Please spread the word and encourage your UPCC colleagues to participate as well!
