San’yas Core Health or Core Mental Health

This facilitated online training program introduces participants to key aspects of Indigenous cultural safety and the importance of addressing Indigenous-specific racism. The course aims to enhance participants' knowledge, awareness, and skills in working with and providing services to Indigenous peoples.

Once enrolled, participants will work through 8-10 hours of learning materials at a pace that feels comfortable for them throughout the 8 weeks the group is available. Participation is flexible; there is no need to log in at any specific time as long as participants complete all modules by the closing date. Throughout the course, participants can interact with other attendees on the discussion boards and connect with the facilitator through thoughtful journal entries.

Bystander To Ally - Core Health or Core Mental Health course is a pre-requisite

The Bystander to Ally (BTA) course is a 6-week, online, self-paced program containing 3 -4 hours of material. It offers information, promotes critical self-reflection, and teaches practical skills to help people become more effective allies. Participants learn ways to assess and respond to situations involving bias, discrimination, or racism. They also acquire tools and strategies to apply in their workplaces and daily lives. With the intention of applying these teachings, participants can become powerful agents for change in their personal and professional lives.
