Registered Nurses Foundation of BC (RNFBC) Bursary Program

Who does this apply to?

The RNFBC bursary program supports nurses (LPN, RPN, RN and NP) who are enrolled in preparation programs offered through Canadian Association of Nursing (CAN) and British Columbia Nurse and Midwifery (BCNNM) recognized institutions. 

  • There are bursaries for students enrolled in diploma, undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs – something for everyone!​RNFBC.png

​What you need to know?

  • You do not need to be a RNFBC member in order to apply for the bursaries (RNFBC membership and bursary program are totally separate).​

  • Applicants must:

    • Be residents of British Columbia.

    • Be Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

    • Include any specific documentation that proves eligibility based on requirements listed.

    • Provide documentation that confirms enrolment in any term within the calendar year.

  • There is an application fee of $35.

  • Upon submission, the application form will AUTOMATICALLY enroll you in the general bursaries for which you qualify based on your level of study. Bursaries are drawn at random for anyone meeting the eligibility criteria.

  • The application must be received BEFORE midnight, Monday September 18, 2023

Note:

  • For Proof of Registry with BCCNM, a screenshot of your name and registration # is sufficient.
  • Specific bursaries require a written statement (max. 250 words per essay that highlights a sense of your commitment to your studies, and how those studies are going to contribute to that area of nursing).
