Process updated to refer all pregnant clients to public health nursing services

Island Health’s Right From The Start program is making it easier for physicians to refer pregnant clients with Public Health Nursing services that complement primary care. Now, registration for physicians and clients is completely online, at islandhealth.ca/pregnancy, and the form is shorter, making it quicker for people to sign up. Paper, email and fax registrations are no longer accepted. Please encourage all your pregnant clients to register early in their pregnancy. Supports include infant feeding options, free baby bed, safer sleep education, connection to community and peer supports, and more. Posters (for printing) and a one-pager for providers also at islandhealth.ca/pregnancy.
