The two-day Physician Quality Improvement (PQI) Fundamentals in-person workshops are an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues from across the island, learn QI tools, and develop practical skills for improving care quality and provider experience that you can begin using right away. The curriculum was developed by frontline Medical Staff to be relevant and engaging.
Highlights:
- In-person, September 12 9:00am-5:00pm and September 13 8:00am-3:00pm, at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort in Parksville, BC.
- Open to all community and facility-based Medical Staff, including Specialists, Family Physicians, Midwives and Nurse Practitioners. Island Health privileges are not required.
- Sessional funding at the JCC-rate for physicians.
- Accommodation and travel expenses are reimbursed (for physicians only).
- Register before May 31 – space is limited, please email PQI@islandhealth.ca as soon as possible to save your spot.
If you have the capacity and are interested in leading your own QI project with support, consider applying for our full PQI Cohort training program. It starts with the same first two days at Tigh-Na-Mara, with graduation in October 2025.
