On behalf of the Environmental Sustainability Program
Every day, we work with people who are quietly transforming healthcare for the good of our planet and our health. Whether they're reducing waste, championing sustainable food, or helping us prepare for heatwaves and wildfires, their efforts matter.
They may not seek the spotlight, but their work deserves it!
The Planetary Health Awards are your chance to recognize that leadership. You can nominate yourself, a coworker, or a team.
Don't let this incredible work go unseen! Nominate by September 30th.
What does sustainability look like?
It's broader than you might think.
For example, nominees could include any individual or team who:
- Reduced waste or championed reusables
- Helped green their workspace or site
- Educated others on how climate and health connect
- Established programs to better protect people from extreme heat or wildfires
- Or made any other meaningful contribution to planetary health through their work!
If someone comes to mind, they probably deserve a nomination! (It might be you!)
How to nominate
Submitting a nomination takes about 20 minutes. The form is straightforward, and we're happy to help if you'd like to discuss it further.
- Nominate yourself, a coworker, or a team of people.
- Nominations close September 30th, 2025

Celebrating many forms of impact
All eligible nominees will be celebrated as Planetary Health Honourees, with recognition based on the focus of their work. Honourees can also be acknowledged multiple times over the years as their work continues.
Each year, one nominee will receive the Excellence in Planetary Health Award, along with a custom plaque - made from sustainable materials, of course!
All honourees and the winner will be announced in November 2025.
Take a moment to recognize someone today
You don't need all the details. Just take a coffee break and share what you've seen.
