Each year, the BC Quality Awards celebrate​ the individuals and teams whose outstanding contributions, innovation and leadership are making a difference in health care across BC. Presented by Health Quality BC, these awards recognize those who are improving care and inspiring positive change in our province every day.

Receiving a Quality Award is regarded as prestigious recognition among the provincial health care community. Winne​​rs are awarded a $2,500 sponsorship to help support and disseminate learning from their projects or to support ongoing learning and development.

Who is Eligible? 

You can nominate yourself, a colleague, a team, a project, or another organization. Completed or ongoing projects, initiatives or individuals that have contributed to improving health care quality in BC qualify.

What are the Categories?

Team Awards

  • ​​​​​Excellence in Quality Awards

Comprised of five categories representing the five areas of care as defined by the BC Health Quality Matrix. Nominated projects may include highlighting approaches, processes, products or programs that have demonstrated positive results.

 

Individual Awards​​

Recognizing individuals in their contributions towards improving quality and enhancing the culture of safety and quality in the BC health system.
