Leadership Update: Community Medical Director for Saanich, Gulf Islands and Western Communities

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Sienna Bourdon as the new Community Medical Director for Saanich, Gulf Islands and Western Communities. Jessica Johnson and Erin Price-Linstrom will be her primary dyad partners in this role.
Dr. Bourdon is a respected family physician and experienced physician leader with a strong background in primary care transformation, physician engagement, and quality improvement. As Medical Director at Shoreline Medical Brentwood, Dr. Bourdon leads an interdisciplinary primary care clinic and has played an influential role in the development and implementation of the Saanich Peninsula Primary Care Network, helping expand access to team-based, patient-centred care. She also contributes to numerous regional and provincial committees focused on primary care, quality improvement, and health system innovation and has recently been the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Medical Staff Association President. In addition to her leadership roles, Dr. Bourdon maintains an active clinical practice across community, hospital, and long-term care settings and serves as Clinical Faculty with the UBC Island Medical Program.
Known for her enthusiasm, quick thinking, and unwavering focus on improving care for patients, Dr. Bourdon brings energy, creativity, and momentum to every table. As a practising community family physician, she understands firsthand the realities of independent primary care and is well positioned to strengthen partnerships between community physicians and Island Health. Her ability to bridge these perspectives, combined with her collaborative approach and commitment to better care, will be a tremendous asset to the Saanich, Gulf Islands and Western Communities. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Bourdon to her new role.
