Each year, the BC Pediatric Society presents a special award to recognize excellence in contributing to the field of pediatrics. This year, we are very proud to announce that two of our very own pediatricians, Dr. Jennifer Kouwenberg and Dr. Francine Ling of Nanaimo are the recipients.
Doctors Kouwenberg and Ling have made an incredible contribution to their community over the past few years, particularly with their tireless efforts to develop a multidisciplinary eating disorders program for youth. This has filled a large gap in services for a high risk population, and their work has shown how efforts to collaborate can succeed.
Congratulations to both of you, we are so happy to have you working here in our communities.
