The July 2023 issue discusses process and considerations of authorizing Extended Leave for someone receiving involuntary treatment under the MHA.
Extended leave is intended to be a client-centered therapeutic intervention used to ensure an involuntary patient has the earliest possible opportunity for release from hospital, and to enhance their potential for community living through the provision for treatment compliance once out of hospital. Learn more what is needed to support an involuntary patient through this transition of care.
The August issue of MHA Infobits will consider Recall from Extended Leave.
This issue is also available for direct download and will land at the MHA Intranet site in the near future. Tune into The Weekly for your new issue of MHA Infobits on the third week of every month. You can read past issues of MHA Infobits on the MHA Intranet site.
