HURRY! Seats still available, including evenings for flexible schedules! Prepare yourself for Disclosure conversations; enroll in the BCPSQC Communicating the Unexpected Outcomes (CUO) for Clinicians now!

Island Health is committed to ensuring that the disclosure of unexpected clinical outcomes occur in a timely, transparent, consistent and supportive manner. By completing the BCPSQC Communicating Unexpected Outcomes (CUO) for Clinicians course, you can better equip yourself with enhanced communication skills, which will support you and your teams through these often difficult circumstances.

We are encouraging all staff, medical staff and leadership within Island Health to participate in the accredited* 4-hour, online training course, BCPSQC CUO for Clinicians. The BCPSQC CUO for Clinicians course is free of charge and delivered via Zoom in two, 2-hour sessions (spaced one week apart), with some sessions available in the evenings. There are STILL spots available for January-March 2023 training, with many more sessions opening into 2023. Do not wait—register for your spot today!

Sign up on LearningHub today for any of the upcoming training sessions. *Please note: You must sign up for the same cohort for both Part 1 & Part 2*:

*This course is eligible for UBC CPD for 6.0 MOC Section 3 credits and 6.0 Mainpro+ Group Learning credits (1 credit/hour). As Saegis CUO transitions to the BC Patient Safety Quality Council (BCPSQC), an application to the CFPC national office is underway to increase the number of credits to 18.0 Mainpro+ credits (3 credits/hour) in alignment with the previous accreditation as offered through Saegis and we anticipate this to be complete by early February. Apologies for any inconvenience in this transition period.
