We invite clinicians and leaders to sign up for the CUO online course (via Zoom, 4-hours total). Designed to improve communication skills and increase transparency of conversations with patients after unexpected clinical outcomes occur, including those resulting from errors in care. These conversations can be challenging, are important for building, and maintaining trust with patients/families.
THE CUP course:
- is an Accredited Simulation Activity as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by UBC CPD. You may claim a maximum of 4.0 hours (credits are automatically calculated)
- meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by UBC CPD for up to 4.0 Mainpro+® Certified Activity credits.
- issues a certificate of completion to learners once the course has concluded so credits can be claimed
