Spring has sprung – let’s renew and refresh!
Spring is a time for renewal, and that includes refreshing your Confidential Information Management (CIM) Code of Practice commitment! The unprecedented nature of the last two years has necessarily focused our attention on specific priorities resulting in the unintended slippage of others such as the CIM Code Commitment.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Take steps today, and by no later than Friday May 20th to:

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The CIM Code of Practice Policy (16.6.2P) summarizes key requirements into 10 easy-to-understand practice behaviours. It requires all Island Health staff, medical staff, agents and volunteers associated with Island Health to complete the CIM Code Education Module upon hire, and then refresh their commitment to safely handle confidential information by completing the online CIM Code Commitment each year. Renewal and re-signing takes 10 minutes maximum to complete.
