Presenter: Dr. Morris Freedman, MD, FRCPC, FAAN

When: Wednesday January 19th from 12-1pm PST

Where: Zoom, if interested, please email CHIRN@islandhealth.ca to be sent the zoom link invitation.

Who: All disciplines welcome!

This presentation will focus on the novel Virtual Behavioural Medicine Program (VBM) that was developed at Baycrest Health Sciences in Toronto. VBM represents an innovative model of virtual care designed to assess and manage patients with neuropsychiatric symptoms while they remain in their current environment in long-term care, acute care, or the community. It is a game changer that can reduce the need for admission to specialized behavioural units in the majority of cases. VBM is also a scalable model of novel virtual care that can be adopted worldwide.
