Guided by Dr. Zoe Pullan, members of the Department of Family Practice and their families recently traded hospital corridors for forest trails, spending an evening hiking Swuq’us (Mount Prevost). It was a welcome pause from the daily rhythm of the Cowichan District Hospital — a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and connect with one another in a setting filled with towering trees and fresh mountain air.
Reaching the summit brought not just sweeping views, but a unique perspective. From above, the group could see the new Cowichan District Hospital site taking shape — a powerful reminder of the progress and dedication fueling the future of health care in their community.
As the sun dipped behind the hills, the combination of shared laughter, quiet reflection, and the inspiring view left everyone feeling more grounded, connected, and ready to return to the work ahead with renewed energy.
