Who is this update for?
For anyone who wants to know when the Survey 2024 Final Report will be available for review and use in improvement planning activities.
What do you need to know?
1. Final Report Delivery: There are multiple steps in how Island Health and Accreditation Canada achieve delivery of a Final Report. The chart (below) outlines the many steps involved:
- March 20-April 10, 2024: Leaders and teams participating in the March 10-15, 2024. Leaders and teams reviewed the Accreditation Canada Draft Report to highlight any surveyor ratings and written summaries that could be incorrect due to missed conversations or review of evidence documents. An accuracy check of the Draft Report is always done.
- April 10-26, 2024: The Island Health Accreditation team reviewed the accuracy check and prepared documents for formal submission to Accreditation Canada on April 26, 2024.
- April 26 – Mid-June, 2024: Accreditation Canada conducts a comprehensive review of the Island Health Draft Report Accuracy Check; in partnership with Survey 2024 surveyors. The report is expected to be delivered in late June 2024
2. Distribution of the Final Report and training on how to interpret and use results: This is the first time that Island Health has received a Final Survey Report since the launch of the new Clinical Governance Structures. Specific dates are dependent on when the Final Report is delivered to the Island Health Accreditation team.
- Now-Late June: Adaptation of processes to the new Clinical Governance Structures; in particular, the C.A.R.E. Networks.
- Late June- Early July: Pilot training on how to use and interpret results with Quality Leads and Standard Leads.
- Early July: Distribution of report and training opportunities.
3. Specific dates for report delivery & training opportunities: The Island Health Accreditation team will post these once the Final Report is delivered.
