Trauma & Critical Care Conference 2025: That's a Wrap!

The 3rd annual Trauma and Critical Care (TRACC) Conference brought together over 250 healthcare professionals for a dynamic and inspiring day of education, collaboration, and innovation. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Sooke Prestige Oceanfront Resort, TRACC 2025 featured a robust lineup of expert speakers and cutting-edge content focused on advancing trauma care across diverse environments.

The day opened with an energizing talk by Dr. Harvey Hawes—“The Trauma System of the Future: What's Possible?"—setting the tone for a forward-thinking and impactful event. The conference highlight was the keynote address by internationally renowned emergency physician Scott Weingart, whose powerful presentation on “Airways in Trauma" earned a standing ovation.

  • Dr. Vamshi Kotha – High Risk Pulmonary Embolism
  • Dr. Rowan Chandler – Recognizing Peripheral Nerve Injuries in the Trauma Setting

From front-line providers to specialized consultants, TRACC 2025 offered valuable insights and real-world experiences across the trauma spectrum. The enthusiasm and engagement of attendees reaffirmed the importance of this annual gathering in strengthening the trauma and critical care community here on Vancouver Island. Additionally, TRACC 2025 participants raised $337.00 as a donation towards the Victoria Brain Injury Society who were present at the event.
