Island Health Trauma Services invites you to attend the second annual Trauma and Critical Care (TRACC) Conference April 20 and 21 at the beautiful Victoria Conference Centre. Mark your calendars.
The opportunity to learn and enjoy unique presentations at this years TRACC conference has now been extended to 1.5 days based on last year’s success. Attendee’s include: physicians, respiratory therapists, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents, administrators, paramedics, provincial representatives from Trauma Services BC (TSBC) and more.

- Simulated Trauma Resuscitation Update Course (STRUC) held April 19th – 2024 at the Sim Centre, Royal Jubilee Hospital 08:30 to 16:30. Held the night before the conference for those of you travelling! Registration forms can be found at: Education (islandhealth.ca)
- Day 1 Breakout Sessions on STOP THE BLEED or AIME/Airway Training.
This years keynote speaker is the well known Dr Kenji Inaba MD, FACS, FRCSC. Dr. Inaba is a Professor of Surgery and Division Chief of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Emergency Surgery at LAC-USC Medical Center. His research interests include: resuscitation, novel methods for emergent bleeding control and pre-hospital lifesaving interventions. He has authored more than 660 peer-reveiwed articles and 60 book chapters, as well as being the editor of nine medical textbooks. Dr Inaba was born and raised in Canada.
