Island Health Shines at the 2025 Quality Forum

Island Health made a powerful impact at this year's Quality Forum in Vancouver, held March 11-13. This annual event brings together British Columbia's healthcare community to drive 2025_QualityForum_HQBC_GroupShot-10.png improvement through innovation, collaboration and excellence. Over three dynamic days, Island Health participants engaged in skill-building sessions and meaningful discussions, reinforcing our leadership in shaping a more connected, patient-centered health system.

In the lead-up, Island Health was proud to contribute valuable insights to make this year's conference successful. A special thank-you to Krista Allan, Vice President of Quality, Research and Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer, for serving on the Quality Forum Steering Committee, as well as abstract reviewers Dr. Nick Cherwinski, Scientific Advisor with Quality, Safety, Improvement, Risk, Experience and Research, and Dr. Ian Warbrick, Internal Medicine at West Coast General Hospital.

The forum began with a celebration recognizing the recipients of the 2025 BC Quality Awards. Our award-winning teams received 20% of all awards, each accompanied by a $2,500 sponsorship. Congratulations to staff, medical staff and partners on the winning teams.
