Physician Guide to WorkSafeBC Registration and Insurance Coverage
Purchasing WorkSafeBC insurance is the obligation of all those defined as employers, but there are also options for those who don’t meet this definition. Unincorporated physicians with or without staff who want personal protection in case of a work-related injury or illness may also be eligible to apply for optional personal coverage. This guide, developed with Doctors of BC, explains how to determine if you are an employer required to register with WorkSafeBC and pay premiums — and if so, how to apply to register.
Updated guidance related to COVID-19 for research (April 2022)
The Research Ethics & Compliance Office at Island Health has released updated information Regarding COVID-19. Researchers continue to be required to complete a Research Safety and Vaccination Attestation survey in REDCap for all face-to-face/in-person research involving Island Health staff and sites.
