As part of Island Health's commitment to improve the employee experience at Island Health, we have partnered with EPSI—a third-party company that specializes in the field of psychometrics, engagement and organizational surveys—to conduct an organization-wide employee engagement survey.

This is the first in a series of surveys and pulse checks over the next five years. Your participation will help shape the future workplace at Island Health!

The survey will launch on September 26 and will remain open until October 17. On September 26, you will receive an email (to your .islandhealth.ca account) from survey@epsi-inc.com with a unique link to access the online survey.  We encourage everyone to participate.

The survey will invite you to respond to a series of questions on topics such as communication, organizational culture, job characteristics and leadership. By completing the survey, you can let us know how your work environment supports the important work that you do every day.

The survey is an opportunity for each of you to help shape our workplace at Island Health.

Confidentiality

The survey is being hosted and conducted by EPSI. Your individual survey responses are confidential; no individual responses will be shared with anyone at Island Health. Only aggregate results for teams with five or more survey respondents will be included in local-level results reports. Organizational results will also be reported out at the aggregate Island Health-wide level.

To further protect the confidentiality of your survey responses, be sure not to include any personal identifiers when answering the open-ended questions, as comments will be shared with leadership.

Survey Results

Island-wide survey results will be shared with the entire organization several weeks after the survey closes. There will be a Town Hall where Island Health results will be shared, and next steps communicated.

When local level results are also shared later this fall, leaders will be accountable for reviewing the survey results. HR teams will support leaders to analyze their reports, engage their staff in creating meaningful action plans to celebrate areas where strengths exist, and drive improvement in identified areas.
