Island Medicine Conference: Updates, Skills and Networking

Skills/Hands on Session June 3 (Sat) | Centre for Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Learning (CICSL), Victoria, BC | In-person Conference 

Audience: family physicians, emergency physicians, geriatricians, hospitalists, midwives, nurse practitioners, pediatricians, residents and students. 

Overview:  The conference will focus on topics that health professionals encounter in their daily practice. You can expect a mix of plenary, breakout and panel discussions. Get ready for a hands-on learning experience at our Skills Day, held at the Centre for Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Learning (CICSL).

  • Customize your learning by attending breakout sessions that suit your interests in the afternoon  
  • Join an engaging networking reception on Friday! 
  • Work in teams on various topics, including responding to opioid toxicity, eye exams and the use of a slit lamp, trigger finger, ultrasound, injections, contraceptive devices and skin procedures during day two at Skills Day. 
  • A shuttle bus will be arranged to/from the Victoria Conference Center to the CICSL (one pick up in the morning and one drop off at the end of the day)
