Background:
The PED Eating Disorders Admission order set has been updated to align with the new care plan (published) and new guidelines (under revision).
Revisions include (but are not limited to):
- the addition of Involuntary Admission modules
- significant updates to the activity orders
- clarification around One-to-One Meal Support with different choices for who may be present for the support
- a new nursing communication re: intranet and electronic devices
- the removal of ibuprofen
- the removal of electrolytes. Use Electrolyte Replacement Pediatric (module) when needed.

What do I need to Know?
- The revised order set is now available in both paper and electronic form:
- For non-CPOE activated sites: Via the Island Health Order Sets library (in the Pediatrics, PICU and NICU folder ).
- For CPOE-activated sites (e.g. RJH, VGH, NRGH): Available in Cerner PowerChart *changes released Summer 2024
What do I need to do?
- Please remove outdated paper versions of this order set from your unit.
- Consider printing the new order set in small batches, from the OS Library or Print Services.
- Please share this notification with relevant colleagues and staff at your site.
