Communicating Unexpected Outcomes for Clinicians Update

Hello Island Health Clinicians and Leaders!

We are pleased to announce that we have posted a new round of Communicating Unexpected Outcomes for Clinicians courses on LearningHub.  Dates have been posted for March,Learning Hublight.png April, May and June of 2024.

We invite all clinicians/leaders to consider boosting their disclosure confidence and skills by signing up for the Communicating Unexpected Outcomes (CUO) for Clinicians course. This online course (via Zoom, 4-hours total) is designed to improve communication skills and increase transparency of conversations with patients/families after unexpected clinical outcomes occur, including those outcomes resulting from errors in care. These conversations can be challenging and are important for building and maintaining trust with patients/families. This training is owned and endorsed by Health Quality BC. It is free of charge and CME accredited for 18.0 MOC RCPSC and 18 Mainpro+ CFPC.
