Provincial Health Orders requires all medical staff working in Island Health facilities or under contract with Island Health (regardless of location of work) be vaccinated against COVID-19.

COVID-19 vaccination Q&A for health care providers
The Healthcare Provider Q&A on COVID-19 vaccines has been updated to incorporate content regarding the use of bivalent COVID-19 mRNA vaccines in the primary series. In addition, the viral vector vaccine content has been removed from the Q&A as these vaccines are no longer provided in BC.

The Janssen vaccine is no longer available in Canada. Updates were made to several COVID-19 pages for the public and health professionals. Content was also removed from the COVID-19 Vaccines SOPs and Immunization Manual.

In our update dated June 18, 2021, we provided a provincial website that can be used to report out of province COVID-19 vaccination records. This site is no longer live.

Going forward, please provide any medical staff inquiring how to enter their out of province records with this updated link. https://immunizationrecord.gov.bc.ca/
